This is a letter from a couple who adopted their beautiful baby girl, Grace, from Mercy Ministries one year ago this week:
"We praise God daily for the work of Mercy Ministries and the many lives that have been changed as a result of their work, including our own. For more than 11 years, we desired to be parents only to suffer many disappointments and much loss. Through it all, we continued to have in faith, believing that God had a good plan for us.
We learned of Mercy Ministries early on. Although did not immediately apply for adoption, we fell in love with the ministry and really felt like we should be a part of what God was doing there. After only a few short months and mountains of paperwork completed for other adoption agencies, we both felt the Lord impress on us to apply at Mercy. When I called Mercy to tell them that we were going to submit our application and profiles, they told us to take our time because there were currently no young women there that would have been a “match” for us. We decided to hurry and get everything together since the Lord had made it so clear to us.
